Literature Text

The World still young
Had grown from a seed
Which gently fell
Into mystic waters

The seeds spread far
Filling the waters
with their sacred lights

Each seed grew
Into a bright light
Reaching out
Into the mystic waters
To form branches

These branches grew
Sturdy and fertile
Each holding
Many fruits of life

So today we gaze
Into these mystic waters
To try and see
This special life
Like that of our own

Our waters reflect
The heavens from which
Our life took shape

From the heavens
Rest the mystic waters
From our soil
Lies what we are
And from what we survive

The land shapes
Into a cradle
That holds our soft life

We are nurtured
From these fruits
Like the stars above
And each seed
Each branch
Just as our own

From these mystic waters
All Knowledge rests
For now it slumbers
Waiting to be found

For it is our origin
This is a myth that is part of the culture of a group of people called the Valri that are to be in a book idea of mine. This is their story of creation essentially. It will be included in a histories of the Valri that I am currently working on.

The meaning is that each star is a seed and that all of space is like dark water. Each seed grows to form planets, which are the fruits of which life forms from. It is from these fruits that life can find a place in the waters of space and is also why the soil of these worlds are the cradles of life. The secrets of every world are all over, which is why all the answers are somewhere out there.
