Oil on Canvas, 24 x 30 inches. I painted this for my best friend Kurt Lehmann for his 18th birthday present as well as his graduation gift from me. I painted the Catskill mountains in New York per his request. I picked morning to emphasize the new day, a new start into a new world after high school. Also the sky is a symbol for his spiritual side and the mountains are his challenges to climb and defeat. A place he loves in a mysterious fog of what's new and to come.
great job i love it
Such a really beautiful scenery. The only thing I can say is maybe you should shade some other parts more and maybe add a soft ray of warm sunlight. But that's just my opinion ofcourse ^^ I really do with that there are still more places like this that exist here on earth. Some place where man could linger and not destroy the place in the process...
Thank you And yeah, maybe that would of worked out, ha. And yeah, I agree.
No!!! I had written out this fabulous long comment on how wonderful this piece was and why and... I hit a wrong button and lost it all... Sigh... Well to sum it up in a far less elegant and polite way... A wonderful piece, the second row of trees looks blurry which I think is out of place. Besides that I think this is a wonderful piece one of my favs of yours. Good work *glares at computer* evil machine
Aw, that sucks...Well, the thought counts And yeah? I see what you mean. I had them clearer before, but I changed them because I felt they stood out too much, but I couldn't find the right balance in the end. But yeah, thank you very much
yah, i know how that is when you change something and go to far the other direction. i usually wind up wishing i had left alone. well ive left you all sorts of nice long comments now so, have fun reading through my non stop blathering if you get tired of it just skip over it, i shan't mind.i do tend to get carried away, with explanations (such as now). and again that is a very well done piece!
Yeah, ha. I do wish I had left it alone. And I really really really do appreciate the comments you give. I always look forward to them and enjoy reading them, even the "blathering", ha. So thanks for all of them so much
Very nice work, love the colors, clouds n details...
